Selena Linkous has been working in the field of architecture for 20 years and currently practices at Frederick Fisher and Partners. Linkous received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997. She graduated from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2003 with a Master of Architecture and obtained licensure from the state of California in 2007. She has worked at Bestor Architecture, Rios Clementi Hale Studios, and Nicolas Budd Dutton Architects. Awards have included an AIA North Carolina merit award in 2003 and an AIA LA Restaurant Design Award finalist distinction in 2006. Her work has been published in Interior Design magazine, shown at Westweek 2003 at the Pacific Design Center, the Tokyo Designer’s Block in 2002, and her thesis was exhibited in the SCI-Arc Gallery. In all her work Linkous seeks to merge visceral space with highly functional design and materiality, while simultaneously being humane to the environment.
